Radiance Music's open beta is out, free, for Android and Linux

Radiance Music, the music player made by Radiance Innovation Centers in the Philippines, is out as an open beta for Android phones and Linux computers. It's free and open source. Like a song and it's saved on your device; split it into drums, bass, other and vocals on the phone or computer itself; put it on your Instagram or Facebook story with its lyrics.

Like it, save it

Search for a song and play it. Tap the heart and it's saved on your phone or computer, with its cover, its lyrics and its music video, so it plays even with no internet.

The lyrics light up word by word as they're sung, big and in the middle of the screen.

Split it, mix it

Any saved song can be split into its four parts: drums, bass, other and vocals. The splitting happens on your own phone or computer; the song isn't sent anywhere.

Then each part has its own slider: take the vocals out and sing over it, keep only the voice, or bring the bass up. On the phone, low cut, high cut and reverb shape the whole sound too.

Share it

Put a song on your Instagram or Facebook story: its cover, or the lyric lines you pick, on a card made for stories.

Songs can go from one phone to another, or between your computer and your phone, by scanning a QR code, with their parts, lyrics and covers, so the other side doesn't download or split anything again.

An open beta

This is Radiance Music's first public version, an open beta. It's new: some things may not work yet, and it will change often, with every update on music.radianceph.com first. If something goes wrong, or you have an idea, tell us; that's what the beta is for.

Get it

Download it from music.radianceph.com (opens in a new tab): the app for Android phones (Android 10 or newer) and the one for Linux computers. Radiance Music is free and open source (GPL-3.0).
